ALTERNATIVES PRESENTATION MEETING FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - April 30, 2026 Hartland, VT 

An Alternatives Presentation Meeting for the project listed below will be held on Monday, May 18th, 2026, beginning at 5:30 PM at Damon Hall located at 1 Quechee Road in Hartland, VT. The meeting will be held by the Vermont Agency of Transportation (VTrans) and the Town of Hartland.

Town Highway Bridge Project: • “Willard Covered Bridge” – Hartland BO CVBR(2), Town Highway 15, Bridge 22 over Ottauquechee River

The recommended alternative includes bridge rehabilitation while maintaining traffic on an offsite detour during construction.

The intent of the meeting is to provide an overview of this project to town officials, residents and businesses, emergency services and other interested parties. There will be a review of the existing site conditions, proposed work, and overall schedule followed by a question-and-answer period. Representatives from both VTrans and the Town of Hartland will be available at the meeting to gather concerns about the project.
